Car Selling and Wholesale Platform
BuyOne Auto Group runs an Australian platform where a person can sell their car entirely by text message and have motor dealers and wholesalers compete to buy it. Sellers describe their car in a guided text conversation and receive real offers without downloading an app or filling in forms, while dealers and wholesalers get matched vehicles and a separate trade-only marketplace to buy and sell among themselves. Logic Providers develops and runs the mobile app, web portal, backend and cloud deployment behind it.
The Challenge
DRAFT FOR CLIENT APPROVAL. Selling a car privately in Australia usually means writing a listing, fielding calls from strangers, handing over a phone number to anyone who asks, and haggling one buyer at a time with no idea whether the price is fair. Taking it to a single dealer is quicker but leaves the seller with one offer and no way to compare. On the other side of the same market, dealers and wholesalers spend their days hunting for stock worth buying. BuyOne Auto Group set out to connect the two directly, so a seller can reach many buyers at once, from a text conversation, and dealers see only the vehicles that suit them.
Our Role
A seller starts by texting an assistant called Max, which collects the details of the car, looks the vehicle up from its number plate, and takes photos through a private one-time link, then matches the car to dealers in the states the seller chose. Those dealers each submit one price, the seller is texted every offer as it lands, and an administrator accepts the best one and sends the winning dealer an invoice, with the contact details of the seller staying private until an offer is accepted. A separate trade-only flow lets these businesses inspect a vehicle, list it to the wider network and collect competing offers. Trade accounts run on paid subscriptions, billed and renewed automatically. Logic Providers builds and runs the platform behind this: the mobile app in Flutter, the staff web portal in React and TypeScript, a Node.js and Express API backed by MongoDB, the AI assistant that runs the seller conversation, subscription billing, and the cloud hosting, integrations and release pipeline on AWS. Development is ongoing, with new modules added as the business grows.
Key Functionalities
- Sellers list a car through a guided text-message conversation with an assistant called Max
- Max asks which Australian states the seller wants offers from, or the whole national network
- A number-plate lookup fills in the make, model, year and other details of the car
- Sellers add photos through a private, one-time upload link sent to their phone
- New listings are matched to dealers whose operating states cover the choice of the seller
- Matched dealers are notified both in the app and by email
- Each dealer submits a single price, and the seller is texted every offer
- An administrator accepts the best offer and the winning dealer is emailed a tax-invoice PDF
- Seller contact details are masked from dealers until an offer is accepted
- A trade-only marketplace lets users inspect a vehicle, list it to the network and collect one offer per bidder, with the lister choosing the winner
- Inspectors create a vehicle condition report with photos
- Each offer window has a deadline, with a final-notice text and a link the seller can use to accept the best offer or reopen a closed window
- Subscription billing for trade accounts, with automatic recurring payments
The Results

Vehicle details are filled in automatically from the number plate, so sellers type less
Dealers receive vehicles matched to the states they operate in, rather than everything
Sellers see every competing offer as it arrives, by text
Seller contact details stay hidden from dealers until an offer is accepted
Trade users have a dedicated marketplace to wholesale vehicles among themselves
Trade accounts run on recurring subscriptions, billed and renewed automatically
